- Step four In a frying pan add a nice glug of olive oil and heat on a medium flame/setting (in the meantime heat the grill up so it’s nice and hot)once hot add you potato and fry without turning for about 10-15 mins or until nice and golden burnt on the underside once that’s done slide the potatoes onto a baking tray and whack it in the oven until nicely browned off you can add more cheese,tomatoes or onions on top if you like.
