We all know that, in order to really be healthful, nutritious and balanced diets are important as are good amounts of exercise. The worst part is that, at the end of the day, we don’t always have the time or energy required for a healthy lifestyle. When our work day is done, most people do not wish to go to the gym. People crave sweets and salts, not veggies (unless they are vegetarians). You should be pleased to learn that getting healthy doesn’t always have to be super hard work. With practice you can get all of the nutrients and the physical exercise that you need. Here are some very simple ways to get healthful.

Make smart choices when shopping for groceries. If you make smart choices when you are purchasing your groceries, you will be eating better meals by default. Think for a minute: you don’t want to go to a stressful grocery store or sit in a long line at the drive thru at the end of your day. You want to go to your apartment and make a little something from your kitchen. Fill your pantry shelves with healthy foods. This way—even if you pick out something slightly greasy or not as good for you as it could be, you’re still picking foods that are better for you than you would get at the local diner or fast food drive through window.

There are all kinds of things that you can do to get healthy. Extensive gym visits and narrowly defined diets are not always the solution. You can do little things each day to improve upon your health and lose weight. Make smart choices every day is a great start. Trying to get in as much physical activity as possible is another. Don’t overlook that health isn’t only about just how much you weigh. It is more about making your body as powerful as it can be.

The ingredients needed to prepare Quick yam noodles with "alfredo" sauce and greens:

  1. Take 1 large of yam.
  2. Get 1/4 of onion, finely choped.
  3. Use 4 small of mushrooms.
  4. Use 1 can of garlic, finely diced.
  5. Prepare 4 tbsp of milk.
  6. Take 4 tbsp of whipping cream.
  7. Take 2 piece of sliced cheese.
  8. Provide 1 of handful of green leaves.
  9. Use 1 of a little grated salty cheese.
  10. You need of salt and black pepper.

Steps to make Quick yam noodles with "alfredo" sauce and greens:

  1. Peel the yam and cut thin noodle-like strings. If you can julian it – all the better, but you don't have to! This should take you about 15 minutes- I just do it in front of the tv..
  2. Bake the noodles in a toster oven until a crispy with a tiny bit of oil – if you have virgin olive oil – awesome, if not – it's totally okay as well! The noodlrs are really thin, but there are a lot – so it might take a little while to cook. It took me about 10 minutes..
  3. Once you're done cooking the yams and have them on a plate next to you, fry the mushrooms, onion and garlic in a bit of butter (note: if you want the dish to taste a bit more garlicy – add the garlic later on). Don't over cook them- you just want to brase the musrooms a little and coat them with the butter. It shouldn't take longer than 3 minutes..
  4. Add the milk, cream and sliced cheese (I used gauda) to the pan – the sauce will reduce really quickly – but it's totally okay! The key is to do it as quick as you can. In the picture above you can see I wasn't as quick – so it was more of a creamy melted cheese than a sauce, but it's totally great as well. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper – this sauce is supposed to be a poorman's alfredo sauce so it's not supposed to be overly salty. Pore the sauce on the noodles and mix a little..
  5. Time for plating! Add some greens (I just use pre-made salad mix I get in the supermarket – no need to try very hard) above the noodles – as you're the one eating the dish you should decide how much is enough for you. Add some grated salty cheese – I use Iraqi cheese, but feta will work fine as well..
  6. That's it! You're done. You can add some walnuts, pecans, dried cranberries, pomogranate seeds, bacon bits works amazingly well with this, schnitzel strips (take chicken breasts/ a pirce of beef, smash it until it's about 3 sentimeters thin, cut it to strips, dip in an egg and then in panko/regular bread crumbs abd a little salt, fry until golden) and regular chicken breasts can work as well. I'm supet lazy, so I just eat it with scrambled eggs. All in all it's a way to make your loved ones to eat more veggies – without them being veggies!.
